Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist as well as a businessperson. She is a co-founder of The Huffington Post the founder and chief executive officer of Thrive Global and the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington has worked as an actor, journalist an author, philanthropist on television and television for more than 10 years. Her role also includes being the proprietor of The Huffington Post, an independently-liberal online newsmagazine. She was born in Greece and immigrated to England at age sixteen. When she attended Cambridge University, she graduated with an MA in Economics. In her 21st year, she was the president of the well-known debating group The Cambridge Union' and was the first foreign born student in the history of Cambridge University to be elected. The years that followed when she graduated, she was an important conservative journalist who was syndicated. Then, a couple of years later, she founded The Huffington Post which featured criticism of the present political scene. The fame of her name helped to get a number of prominent contributors to post their views on politics news and culture. Arianna became famous following her decision to be independently in the California recall election, to take over then Governor Davis. Alongside this, she was the leader of a Detroit initiative to encourage the use of fuel-efficient cars. In 2009 she was recognized by Forbes as one of the top women in media. She was ranked 12th position on their list. The same year the Guardian named her to the Top 100 Media list. AOL Inc. purchased The Huffington Post, and she was named president of this media group. It included a variety of AOL products at the time such as Engadget AOL style list and Patch Media. Elli was the youngest daughter of Konstantinos journalist father who was also a business consultant. She was very close with her father. But it was her connection with her mother which shaped her. Even during her formative times, she demonstrated her leadership qualities for which she remains well-known. In her 16th year, she began studying within her native United Kingdom at Girton College Cambridge. While in college she joined the debating organization Cambridge Union where she became the first foreign president and was also the third female president. In 1972, she earned her master's degree in Economics. Following the graduation ceremony, she worked as columnist and TV presenter. Her appearance on Face the music with Bernard Levin was also noteworthy. She began writing books with his guidance with editing.
