Taylor
Taylor Swift, the rarest pop sensation, is one who was able to transcend over from country music to mainstream culture, and has become an icon of the world of pop. Swift also took on every continent in the process. Swift dropped country as if it was another layer and proved that she's perhaps the best pop-singer/songwriter in her generation. One who can harness the zeitgeist to make it personal as well as sing in the other direction. Swift's early songs, including her neo tribute to Tim McGraw, showed off the talents of her. But her 2008 album Fearless showed a singer-songwriter who was beginning to discover herself, and was able to draw a wide audience. Fearless was successful not only on American soil, with six platinum-certified singles. Its Top Ten songs Love Story and You Belong with Me were the primary reasons behind this. But, it also did well all over the world. The Swift's Speak Now album released two years ago was a continuation of her earlier successes, propelling the singer into superstardom. Her popularity only increased through her subsequent three albums - Red (2012) 1989 (2014), and Reputation (2017) Reputation (2017) which saw her move into a realm of pop music that she had already been a part of. Even though she had slowed the production of her folklore album, and Evermore released in 2020, she was nevertheless leading the way in pop music.
